About Bramblehouse Media
Bramblehouse Media was founded by Brian J. Hammond, a pastor, campus minister, teacher, and lifelong student of Scripture.
My approach to Bible study has been shaped by years spent teaching people with very different experiences of the biblical text. Some have studied Scripture their entire lives. Others are encountering these stories for the first time. Some approach the Bible with certainty; others arrive carrying questions, doubts, or even difficult experiences with Scripture and the Church.
I believe there should be room at the table for all of them.
That belief is at the heart of Bramblehouse Media and Inspiration & Interpretation: take the text seriously, take context seriously, take questions seriously, and trust people enough to let them wrestle with what they discover.
Because Scripture isn't merely something to finish reading.
It's something worth exploring.
Why Bramblehouse?
When searching for a name for another side project, my wife and I were looking at tree names that went with our initials. There weren’t any I liked for B. So when we stumbled across Bramble, it fit. My brain tends to be a bit like a bramble patch. Lots of ideas, unfinished thoughts and other random items all hidden in there. It stuck.
